“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Habakkuk 2:2
If I could choose one word to describe this past month it would have to be productive! What a month it has been: go, go, go from the 1st of November when we landed back in Africa after a couple of extremely busy, awesome months in Australia! We started off the month by spending a week in Durban, South Africa, with our Liberty Missions board members, praying and seeking the Lord for a plain vision for Vilanculos, Mozambique where the Lord had spoken to us to set up a new base of operations for Liberty Missions. God spoke clearly to us, and we were able to write down a vision and make it plain so that we could run with it and hold to it whenever opposition or challenges come our way. The following week, we packed up, hitched up our camper trailer, and began the 20+ hour drive to Vilanculos, Mozambique, and it has been non-stop marvellous, challenging, fantastic since we got here! We had some clear goals which needed to be met and only 30 days to do so, because our visas are only 30 day visitor visas at the moment. In order to apply for 1 year residency visas, we needed to register Liberty Missions as an NGO here in Mozambique. We began looking for a lawyer who could help us. In the end, God brought one to us, and he has been amazing, getting all the paperwork done and approved by the government. As it stands now, our constitution and registration papers have been submitted, we have our board members here, and we are awaiting approval hopefully this week some time! Liberty Missions will be a legal ministry running in Mozambique, praise God! We also needed to find a place to live, and somewhere to set up our base which will include, eventually, a Bible School, Church, Prayer Rooms and Offices. Once again, the Lord didn’t let us down (amazing!) but led us to a beautiful property with three houses on it – perfect for long-term missionary housing, as well as a potential place in town for our base! Next week will see us down in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, to finalise the registration of Liberty Missions and to begin the process of applying for residency visas, after which we will need to cross the border into South Africa before coming back in to officially take up residency in Mozambique and advance God’s glorious Kingdom here! Please keep us in your prayers as we take the mighty gospel of Jesus Christ into Vilanculos, Inhambane Province and throughout Mozambique, Africa! We can’t do what we do without you, the awesome global body of Christ: lifting us up, encouraging us and cheering us on! You mean so much to us and we continuously thank God for you all, and we are asking for your help to get all this done. Please have a look at the link below to invest in what God is doing here. May you be blessed exceedingly, abundantly ABOVE all you could ever ask or imagine as you continue to pursue Jesus in your own lives! |
