“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held – To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.” – Isaiah 45:1-3

Hasn’t that Scripture been made so alive to us this past month as we have travelled from South Africa to Brisbane, Australia and then up to Darwin in the Northern Territory! We have seen these verses come to life so many times in our lives over the years as we follow the will of God, but this month again has been a miraculous journey of God opening doors and making our path straight before our feet as we say YES to Him!
After arriving in Brisbane we spent a wonderful time enjoying divine encounters, catching up with family and beloved friends, and having strategic meetings as we contend for revival in the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.
As our time drew near to leaving Brisbane, we had flights booked to Melbourne, where we planned to pick up the car donated to us and then drive up through the Red Centre of Australia to Darwin, but at the Lord’s strong leading we rang the airline and changed our tickets, flying direct to Darwin instead. God told us we could organise the car later but that it was imperative we go straight to Darwin. Obediently, we changed plans and were amazed a few days later when it was announced that Melbourne had become a ‘hotspot’ and people coming to Darwin from there would have to go into quarantine! God is always a step ahead!
We started searching for a house to rent in Darwin, but kept getting told ‘No’ by the real estates. They told us we needed to be in Darwin so they could show us through the property before we rented, and they told us we needed proof of income – which we don’t have because we have lived by faith through donations for the past 8 years! Sitting in our accountant’s office in Brisbane, he felt to keep looking, determined God would lead us to the perfect house before we got to Darwin. Scrolling through websites, Ash recognised the photo of a real estate agent beside a beautiful house, and when he phoned, sure enough, she was a dear old friend we used to fellowship with last time we were in Darwin! She was so excited we were coming back to Darwin, did a video call showing us through the house, and then told us not to worry about income slips because the owners of the house are also missionaries!

We were approved for the house and immediately the scripture came to mind in Matthew 10:11 when Jesus was sending his disciples out: “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.”
We found the house that was worthy and once again, God went before us, preparing the way!
We flew into Darwin and friends of friends were flying out a couple of days later for two weeks so they offered us their car to use! Thank You Jesus! They also donated fridges, beds, and other people also generously gave. Within 24 hours of arriving in Darwin, our house was full, when we had only come with some bags of clothes! It was a wonder from heaven! A great provision from our Father who loves us!
A few days later, Darwin announced that Brisbane had now become a hotspot and people coming from there would have to quarantine! We got in just in the nick of time! God knows beforehand what will happen and plans accordingly!
We visited the location of our church we had here 8 years ago and found it empty! We also found a huge vacant car park for lease behind our old church building, so we contacted the owners of both and have had great success! It looks like we will have the outdoor lot for our Hope Rally – revival crusade which will run for 28 days in the heart of Darwin as soon as this week sometime, and then our old church building will become our mission hub and missions training centre! God is flinging doors open and providing miraculously for His purpose and mission here in Darwin!
We even were shocked when the owner of the outdoor lot out of the blue mentioned he had rolls of fake grass at home we could use for our event – something Ash and I had been dreaming of getting for months! God provided!
It is truly miraculous what God has done in such a short amount of time and we are gaping in wonder at His faithfulness and goodness! It is all for the sake of Jesus – that He be lifted up for all to see and that souls be saved, delivered, healed and set free so that the Lamb may receive the reward of His suffering! It is so that we may raise up an army of sold out harvesters who are ready to bring in the great harvest of souls before our King comes back for us – His purified Bride!
We say YES LORD! We contend for a global revival, a global awakening in preparation for His glorious return!
